round rock express

i don't think i ever shared about our round rock express game last month.

i am a member of the united heritage credit union and they offer cheap tickets to the game once a year as a member appreciation gift. they allow us access to their facilities which includes swimming there at the game, close seats, gifts, a large meal with lots of snacks, drawings for expensive prices, balloon animals, and face painting.

we went last year and love it. we always enjoy the ball park, but after experiencing the game with all the perks from uhc, it is hard to go just any other time.

it was round rock's second game of the season and they ended up winning in the end.
if you didn't know already, they are a minor league team and most of their players move on to the texas rangers.

they make the park completely kid friendly with several activities. our girls enjoyed the rock wall and trampolines. cami bought cotton candy and cari bought a stuffed animal. one time we went, we got to meet some of the players, collect autographs, and the kids even got to run the bases after the game.

they have the cutest mascot and prettiest field. there are fireworks after every home-run.

if you haven't been yet, put it on your things-to-do list this summer :)

easter catch up

our easter weekend was great

saturday morning we always have breakfast together as a family. chad makes his famous pancakes with lots of sugary and unusual toppings and the kids get surprised with their easter baskets.

we finally finished our flower bed in the backyard and hide glow-in-the-dark eggs
saturday night for the kids. i got the idea from pinterest. we put glow-in-the-dark bracelets inside several eggs and when we hid them outside our backyard lit up giving you effect of colorful light bugs every where.

we always enjoy our easter sunday service and it is tradition for our family of four to eat at carino's afterwards.

later that evening we had dinner with chad's parents and they hid eggs for the girls once more.

easter is a great time of celebrating so many blessings in our lives.

1 Peter 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead...

training wheels...off

cami picked out a bigger bike awhile back.

and

cari requested that her training wheels be taken off.

it seems like just yesterday we were taking these same pictures with cami.

why are my kids growing up so fast?

april came and went...

i know i haven't blogged in awhile, but i didn't realize i let a whole month go by...

april has been very busy for us.

(she loves volleyball)
my oldest daughter, cami, has started spring volleyball.
she has also been dealing with friendship troubles
that required my undivided attention for several weeks now.
i do think we are on the right track finally and because of that...i'm back blogging again.
(maybe i will share a little bit about that in the future)

(we find her asleep like this a lot)
my youngest daughter, cari, has made pulling teeth her new favorite sport.
she just pulled out another tooth on the top yesterday
and, of course, the stupid tooth fairy forgot about her :(

she also performed a 10 commandments rap with her first grade class
this wednesday during her school's chapel.

last weekend we had the opportunity to see our favorite nephew play t-ball.
he is pretty cute!

in other news...
i 'm on the hunt for a pair of hideous "mom jeans" that all of our really cool moms
used to wear. i am convinced that i have the perfect body for them ;)
the reason behind that is because
i some how got involved in a "mom's rhapsody" performance for our
mother's day church service  that will, without a doubt,
be completely humiliating...but pretty fun for everyone else to watch.

we are heading out of town next weekend for cami's music memory competition.
it's held at tcu in fort worth, and we have made the whole weekend a mini vacation.
cami is a little nervous so keep her in your prayers this week when you think of her.
she has worked really hard and i know she is ready for this to be over :)
